Hurricane Nadine Continues East Toward Azores
MIAMI (CBSMiami) — Hurricane Nadine is holding its own as a Category 1 hurricane moving east in the central Atlantic Ocean.
At 5 p.m. Sunday, the center of Nadine was about 850 miles west-southwest of the Azores.
Maximum sustained winds decreased to 75 mph with higher gusts.
Nadine was moving toward the east at 23 mph. The National Hurricane Center forecast calls for Nadine to slow down tonight and turn east-northeast by Tuesday. Some slow weakening is forecast during the next 48 hours.
The storm poses no threat to land at this time.
