Nadine On The Verge Of Becoming A Hurricane
MIAMI (CBSMiami) – Tropical Storm Nadine could very well strengthen into a hurricane on Thursday.
At 5 a.m. Thursday the center of the storm was about 800 miles east-northeast of the Northern Leeward Islands.
It had maximum sustained winds of 70 mph with higher gusts.
It's moving toward the west-northwest near 16 mph. The storm is no threat to land.
The National Hurricane Center forecast calls for Nadine to take a gradual turn to the north-northwest on Thursday and a turn to north on Friday.
