Multi-Car Crash Involves Cops, Snarls I-95 In North Dade
MIAMI (CBSMiami) - Officers for the Miami Police department and the Miami-Dade police department were involved in a multi car accident Wednesday afternoon on busy I-95 near NW 151st street. The accident closed the express toll lane and caused a backup stretching for miles.
There were no immediate details about how the accident happened shortly after 4 pm, but it appeared to be a chain reaction where one vehicle stopped and the others smashed into each other.
A taxicab was also involved in the crash.
Despite the accident in the express lane, traffic was moving slowly in the adjacent regular traffic lanes, but behind the location of the accident traffic was backed up for miles, causing a commuting mess.
It's not known if anyone was injured in the accident.
