Motorcyclist Killed In Early Morning I-75 Crash
PEMBROKE PINES (CBSMiami) – A motorcyclist was killed in an early morning accident on I-75.
The cyclist, who was heading north on the highway around 5 a.m., reportedly ran into the back of a Honda Pilot driven by 45-year old Leonardo De Leon just north of Pines Boulevard. On impact, the man on the motorcycle lost control and was thrown from the bike.
The cyclist was then run over by a Toyota Avalon driven by 17-year old Jeannette Ma. Ma, who did realized what she had hit, went to the next exit and called police.
I-75 was shutdown for hours as the Florida Highway Patrol conducted an investigation. All lanes were re-opened to traffic by 11 a.m.
