Morris Excited For His Hurricanes Finale
CORAL GABLES, Fla. (AP) — Stephen Morris was not named in the notice of allegations against Miami, meaning he had absolutely nothing to do with the NCAA investigation that hung over the Hurricanes for more than two years.
It wasn't his fault.
And he stayed anyway.
Morris is from Miami and once the NCAA saga started he immediately decided that the best thing he could do for his school was not run away from the problems caused by others. So he stayed, the NCAA saga is over and now Morris is about to wear a Miami uniform for the final time when the Hurricanes face Louisville on Saturday in the Russell Athletic Bowl.
He will leave Miami among its all-time leaders in several passing categories, and to a hometown kid like Morris, that means plenty.
