More Abortion Restrictions Head To Gov. Scott's Desk
TALLAHASSEE (CBSMiami.com) - Highly partisan bills limiting abortions are now headed to the desk of Governor Rick Scott, who is expected to sign both.
One bill requires a woman who is seeking an abortion to be forced to have an ultrasound before the abortion could be performed.
A similar bill was vetoed last year by former Governor Charlie Crist. This year's bill will allow women to opt out of hearing a description of the image as well as viewing the image.
The other bill will make it more difficult for minors to receive court waivers from Florida's parental notification law.
