Video shows intense fire that broke out at mobile home in West Little River

An investigation is underway in Northwest Miami-Dade after a massive fire tore through a mobile home in West Little River early Tuesday morning, according to investigators.

According to Miami-Dade Fire Rescue, about 10 units responded to a report of a fire in the 1200 block of Northwest 79th Street just before 3:30 a.m.

When units arrived at the scene, they said they found a fully engulfed converted trailer and box truck. Crews were able to quickly deploy their hose lines and initiate a fire attack, and they were able to prevent the flames from spreading to nearby vehicles and materials.

Once they were able to contain the fire, they were able to use a specialized firefighting foam to reduce the risk of remaining fuels from possibly reigniting.

Vladmirmi Agguirre said he watched as his mobile home went up in flames not knowing if his two dogs and two bunnies were okay.

He told CBS News Miami that it was hard to explain just how difficult it was not knowing where his pets were.

However, hours after the blaze was extinguished, he got some good news – his dogs and bunnies were safe.

MDFR said that it is possible that the fire broke out as a result of a blown transformer nearby, but the cause remains under investigation.
