MLB Drug Scandal Clinic Owner Seeks Bail
MIAMI (CBSMiami/AP) — The man at the center of the investigation involving a Coral Gables clinic which reportedly sold banned steroids to Major League Baseball players is asking a judge to release him on bail.
A federal judge revoked Anthony Bosch's $100,000 bail earlier this week because he tested positive twice for cocaine use. But Bosch attorney Guy Lewis says in court papers the August tests indicate the cocaine detected in his urine is likely residual from prior use.
Federal probation officials say Bosch hasn't tested positive for the drug since Aug. 18.

Lewis says Bosch is willing to attend a residential drug treatment program, if released.
Bosch ran Coral Gables-based Biogenesis of America, accused of providing banned substances to MLB and other players including New York Yankees star Alex Rodriguez. Bosch is scheduled to plead guilty next week.
