Missing Parkland Woman's Husband Helping Detectives
PARKLAND (CBS4) – The search continues for a missing Parkland woman, Monday.
Her husband told investigators he was the last one to see her July 24.
The Broward Sheriff's Office is concerned Rosann DiFiore, 42, may be in need of help because her husband said he received a text message indicating she may harm herself.
Neil Rosen said he last saw her around 11 p.m. last Wednesday.
Deputies said he woke up at 8 a.m. the next morning and could not find DiFiore. BSO said her husband thought she had gone to work, but an hour-and-a–half later, received the alarming text message from DiFiore.
DiFiore is described as 5 feet 2 inches tall and weighs 92 pounds. She drives a gray, 2013 Lexus IS250 with Florida tag BUB-C97.
DiFiore's husband's name may sound familiar, he was acquitted of killing his girlfriend in the 1990s in one of the first murder cases in the city of Weston.
Reached by phone, Monday, the missing woman's husband lashed out at a CBS4 News reporter even before a question had been posed.
"You people are trying to ruin my life…because of something that happened 20 years ago," snapped Neil Rosen.
Rosen has retained a criminal defense attorney, and is now communicating with police through his attorney, or with the attorney present.
"I was speaking to the police, I am speaking to them now through my attorney," Rosen told CBS4's Gary Nelson.
Mike Jachles, a spokesperson for the Broward Sheriff's Office, said Monday, that Rosen's wife's disappearance is being treated solely as a missing person's case.
Jachles said the husband has "cooperated with detectives."
Rosen's attorney, Scott Hecker, told CBS4 News Rosen's wife has "mental issues" and has previously been involuntarily hospitalized for treatment.
Hecker said he has advised his client to make no further comment to the media.
"Mr. Rosen is giving no statements. Any comment will come through me," the attorney said.
