Miller Out Against Cavaliers
CLEVELAND (CBS4) - Backup Miami Heat forward Mike Miller will be out at least one game after suffering a bruised knee. Miller is traveling with the team, but will not suit up Tuesday night against the Cavaliers.
Miller has been showing flashes of improvement after being essentially a bust through the first half of the season. He's averaging 5.7 points and 4.5 rebounds a game in his first season with Miami.
Miami Heat coach Erik Spoelstra made the decision to sit Miller after Tuesday morning's shootaround. Spoelstra's said Miller's knee is just sore and the team will wait to see how he responds to rest in the next day or two.
The Heat play again Wednesday night against the Washington Wizards. Given the state of the Heat's next two opponents, missing Miller will not turn out to be much of a problem for the Heat.
