Middle School Back In Class After Evacuation Due To Bomb Threat
FT LAUDERDALE (CBSMiami) - A Pembroke Pines middle school was temporarily placed on lockdown, and evacuated as a precaution, after a bomb threat.
Pembroke Pines police said an overnight email sent to Silver Trail Middle School, at 18300 Sheridan Street, contained a 'vague' threat.
School Board officials decided to evacuate the school until the building could be searched by K9 officers. After a thorough search of the school, the all clear was given and students were allowed to return to class.
Police have not made public the details of the threat or said if they've been able to trace it to the sender.
