Michele Bachmann Compared To Tebow
DES MOINES, Iowa (CBSMiami.com) – Minnesota Congresswoman Michele Bachmann's presidential campaign may be on its last legs, so a Super PAC that supports Bachmann has cast her in the mold of a much bigger power, former Florida quarterback Tim Tebow.
The Super PAC, called The No Compromise PAC, compared Bachmann to Tebow by saying both are hated by the mainstream and that both continue to keep fighting, and in Bachmann's case, "she just keeps winning votes."
But, given that Tebow has lost three games in row as the starting quarterback of the Denver Broncos; it might not be the best time to invoke Tebow's name in a campaign.
The No Compromise PAC wasn't the first politician or politically-affiliated Super PAC to bring Tebow into the GOP nomination conversation.
Texas Governor Rick Perry said he wanted to stage a big comeback and "hope I am the Tim Tebow of the Iowa caucuses."
Tebow hasn't addressed politics, but if he chooses to endorse someone in the presidential race, it could carry a lot of weight in the Evangelical community.
Right now, the only thing Tebow has on his mind is Sunday's game against the Denver Broncos, which you can see exclusively on CBS4 starting at 4:30 p.m.
