Michael Holding Steady As Category 2 Hurricane In Central Atlantic
MIAMI (CBSMiami) – Hurricane Michael has weakened slightly, but is still a Category Two storm.
At 11 p.m., the center of the storm was about 930 miles west-southwest of the Azores.
Maximum sustained winds have decreased to 105 mph with some higher gusts. The storm was moving north-northeast at 5 mph.
No watches or warnings are in place due to Michael.
The NHC forecasts that the system will slow down Thursday night, turning toward the northwest on Friday night. Gradual weakening is expected to continue through Saturday.
