MIAMI (CBSMiami) - Miami's new Major League Soccer team has a name.
The David Beckham group announced the team will be called Club Internacional de Fútbol Miami. The group also unveiled the team's crest.
In black, pink, and white - two herons are poised back to back, a shimmering sun between them, their legs forming the letter "M". A large mural with the image at center stage graces a building in Brickell at SW 1st Avenue and SW 8th Street.
"I like it, I love it," said one man.
"It's an amazing tribute to what is happening in Miami," said another man.
"To finally have something tangible, to finally have a team name and a crest, an identity," said Chris Allan iwth the Southern Legion, a group backing an MLS team in Miami.
"It encompassed Miami, the culture, you know the bright colors, lots of movement, the Latin flavor dancing kind of vibe," said mural artist Alexander Mijares.
"We are a new team but we are a city, we have a lot of history," said Beckham in a statement comment on the name and crest. "The authenticity, the South American flavor we wanted in there, we also needed that modern twist as well because that is what Miami is all about."

The group said they continue to build the team and hope to play their first game in 2020.
Managing Owner Jorge Mas said the club will be home to all, no matter where they are from, or how they got here.
"Our city and our fans draw their strength from the dreams of a global population that calls Miami home. It is only fitting that our name pays tribute to the inclusiveness that makes us who we are," he said.
While a name and crest are nice, the team still has nowhere to play. Voters will decided in November if a $1.3 billion dollar proposal to build a 25-thousand seat stadium, office complex, retail space and restaurants, on Miami's only public golf course should proceed.
