Miami Woman Killed In Overnight Shooting

MIAMI (CBSMiami) - A woman was killed in an overnight shooting in Miami.
Shots were fired at around 11 p.m. Monday outside of an apartment building on NW 20th Street and 2nd Court.
Relatives of Monique Manley, 29, say she was sitting on the back of a car when someone started shooting.
They say the mother of four was shot multiple times in the back and was taken to Jackson Memorial Hospital where she died.
This was the first of three shootings in South Florida in a 12 hour period.
Around 2:30 a.m. Tuesday, Miami-Dade police received a call about shots fired in the area of 29th Avenue and NW 43rd Terrace.
Officers searched area but were not able find anyone firing a gun or anyone who appeared to be injured from a gunshot wound.
Miami-Dade police Det. Alvaro Zabaleta said then the residents of 2989 NW 43rd Terrace when outside Tuesday morning they found bullet holes in the front of the home and the body of a woman in the front yard.
Family members identified the woman as 49-year old Carolyn Frye, a mother of three.
Police said they have no motive for the shooting and don't know if Frye was the intended targeted.
Just after 8 a.m., there was third shooting, again in Miami. A man was shot in the leg at NW 17th Avenue and 16th Street during a robbery attempt. Police said the gunman and second man fled in a dark blue Ford Expedition.
