Accused Shop Lifter Used Pepper Spray, Bit Officers
MIAMI (CBSMiami) – A Miami woman is in jail after she was allegedly caught red-handed trying to steal from a store in Miramar
It incident happened last Thursday at a Target located at 16901 Miramar Parkway.
Ebony Taylor, 25, allegedly walked around the store and picked up $553 worth of merchandise, according to Sun-Sentinel.
As Taylor walked out of the store without paying, loss prevention officers stopped her and asked her to come back inside.
That is when Taylor reportedly sprung out in action. She reportedly sprayed both loss prevention officers with pepper spray and bit one on the wrist.
When an off-duty Pembroke Pines officer noticed what was going on, he rushed over to help. When he informed her that he was a cop, Taylor allegedly bit him on the thumb.
Taylor then reportedly threatened to cut them with the back of her earring.
When Miramar police showed up, they took her into custody.
Taylor was ordered held on $32,000 bail after being charged with aggravated battery on an officer, aggravated assault with intent to commit a felony, two counts of theft and multiple other charges.
Taylor has been convicted of theft nine times and is currently out on bond for a Nov. 16 theft case in Aventura, said the paper.
