Miami Springs Police Searching For Armed Robbery Subject
MIAMI SPRINGS (CBSMiami) - A Subway store clerk says she was terrified by a gunman who tapped her on the wrist with his weapon and demanded cash last Wednesday night.
"I thought I was going to be killed. I thought I was going to lose my life. I didn't want that to happen because I have a child to live for," said the victim who did not want to show all of her face or provide her name.
The victim told CBS4's Peter D'Oench the incident happened suddenly as she was inside the Subway store at 4889 NW 36th St. at 7:55 p.m. last Wednesday night.

"He came in and I did not see him right away and then I called out to my co-worker. He came in with a gun and demanded cash. I gave it to him and closed the register and then he left. I didn't want to get shot," she said.
"He tapped me on the wrist with the gun and that scared me," she said. "That has never happened to me before. Then he tried to get out of the back door that was locked and then he went out in front. And he took off. I hope someone recognizes him because he needs to be caught."
The suspect was captured by the store's 10 security cameras.
Miami Springs Police said he wore a mask, is in his mid 20s, is about 5'7" tall and has a medium build with a white-knit skull cap.
He was seen on tape wearing baggy, black pants and was wearing a short sleeve shirt over a long-sleeve white shirt.
The owners of the Subway store, Abdul and Rehana Rauf, told D'Oench that they have operated the store since 1994 and say there have never been robbed this way before.
"Thank God the employee is ok," said Abdul Rauf. "The money is no problem. That is what is important first that she is ok."
"I feel very bad for what happened to me employee but thank God nothing happened to her because money is no big deal," said Rehana Rauf.
"It would mean a lot to me if they catch this person," said Abdul Rauf. "Because that way he could see a lesson for what he did."
