Wanted: Police Seek Man For Sexual Battery On 80-Year-Old Woman
MIAMI (CBSMiami) – The Miami Police Department is on the hunt for a man who sexually assaulted an 80-year-old woman and remains on the loose.
The attack took place on February 27 in the NW 3700 block of NW 1 Street at approximately 4:50 a.m.
The victim told police she was in the area when the suspect approached her from behind, dragged her and forcefully sexually assaulted her behind a building.
After the assault, the victim ran to a nearby business and called 911.
The suspect, seen in video released by Miami PD, is described as a white male, in his 30s, approximately 5-feet 11-inches tall, short brown curly hair, full beard and tattoos on both arms.
The suspect left in a newer-model silver Chevy Malibu.
"We know someone out there knows a lot more about where this dangerous man is at," said Miami police officer Kenia Fallat.
Neighbors in the area are in disbelief and some are second guessing their routines.
Dagmary Manrique told CBS4 she normally walks her dogs in the middle of the night.
"I do it before going to bed, like a last time to go. And now I'm not, I won't do that no more," said Manrique. "It's not only the fact that he did that to a woman, but to an old lady, she's 80 years old, come on."
