Miami Police & Family Ask For Help Solving Murder
MIAMI (CBSMiami.com) – Miami Police are turning to the community for help after a family was robbed of its patriarch.
Nearly two weeks ago, Edeja Bruno, 61, was shot and his body was left along Northeast 37th Street in Miami. Bruno worked in the shipping business and was sending food to Haiti.
For his family, they just want answers.
"He was a very influential person in our lives; basically raised us to be the people that we are," Edeja's son Patrick Williams said.
"My father never had no problem with anybody," said Bruno's daughter Judithe Marc. "He's a nice man; he's a good father; he care about the kids (11) and all of your needs; he's always be there for the kids"
Police don't have a motive for the murder, but they are asking the public for help finding two people they call "persons of interest."
"These are two individuals we know have been in contact with the victim and they could very well know what happened to the victim," said Sgt. Ervens Ford of Miami Police. "We need to identify these two individuals."
Bruno's family is hopeful that someone out there can bring some closure to the murder of their father.
"Hopefully, people can find it in their hearts to take what we have; our personal situation and think about them being in our shoes and how they'd feel if they lost a father or grandfather or friend or brother and pass along any information," said Williams.
