Miami police find missing teen boy in Brickell City Center Apple store
MIAMI — A missing teen boy with autism who was reported missing Friday afternoon has been found safe and "in good health," Miami police said Saturday evening.
Jose Bolanos, 14, was found in an Apple store in Brickell City Center after detectives received a tip, according to a statement issued by police.
The boy was taken home and reunited with relatives, officials said.
His disappearance sparked a massive search by police.
"Our detectives have been working around the clock," Miami Police Cpt. Freddie Cruz said in a social media video posted Saturday morning.
"We've had our bloodhounds. We've had an aviation search. We've had our marine patrol. We've had officers all over the area. We've even distributed flyers, which will continue; and yet, we've not seen or heard anything."
CBS News Miami also spoke with Bolanos' father, who had this to say: "Please come back."
On Saturday afternoon, Miami Police released new surveillance video that showed the last time Bolanos was last seen. Later Saturday, the Florida Department of Law Enforcement issued a Missing Child Alert Activation for Bolanos.
