Miami Man Given 30 Years For Sexually Abusing Children
MIAMI (CBSMiami/AP) – A Miami man who admitted to sexually abusing two Dania Beach children and videotaping some the acts has been sentenced to 30 years in federal prison.
A Miami federal judge imposed the sentenced Monday on 68-year-old Randolph Pozdol. The assaults occurred between January 2004 and November 2006 on a boy and a girl both under age 10.
Investigators also found more than 175 child pornography images and videos when they searched Pozdol's computers.
Prosecutors say Pozdol met the children by acting as their mother's sponsor at Alcoholics Anonymous. The mother died in 2006 of a drug overdose. The children now live with adoptive parents.
Pozdol pleaded guilty in May a sexual exploitation of children charge.
