Miami Heat Kick Off Dancer Auditions
MIAMI (CBSMiami) – With the Miami Heat being the 2013 NBA Champions, the team is looking for some of the hottest girls to dazzle fans and pump up the crowd for next year's highly anticipated home games.
The Miami Heat Dancers will be holding auditions for the 2013-14 NBA season at the AmericanAirlines Arena on Sunday.
Dancers who think they have what it takes to scorch the competition will battle for a spot on the team. Not only are judges looking for girls with sizzling dance moves, they will also be looking for those who have high energy, flexibility and charisma.
After Sunday's auditions, 40 girls will be chosen to move on to a four-day boot camp where they will work on their dancing skills throughout the week and move on to the final audition which will be held Friday, August 9th at 7:00 p.m. at Miami-Dade County Auditorium.
Auditions held on Sunday will be closed but the public is free to attend the final audition where the new dancers will be announced.
The Heat dancers have been named one of the NBA's hottest dance teams. They have appeared and performed on popular TV shows as well as around the world.
