Miami Gardens homes, cars riddled with bullets after shootout caught on camera
MIAMI - A shootout that apparently involved high-powered weapons rocked a Miami Gardens neighborhood early Wednesday, with bullets hitting cars, homes and windows — and it was all caught on camera.
It happened just after midnight in the 4200 block of 196th Street.
Witnesses described several people with high-powered weapons waiting for a car before they began shooting.
"The sound of the shots, you know, she was scared to death, and as a matter of fact not only with the chemotherapy that she did...when we came out she was hanging to my wife and she threw up", recounted Louis Rivera, whose 6-year-old daughter had just returned from cancer treatment at the hospital.
Rivera's daughter hid in a room, ducking for cover, the man said.
Police sources told CBS Miami that no injuries were reported, and no arrests have been made in relation to the case.
