Miami Gardens Man Charged With Sexual Battery
MIRAMAR (CBSMiami) – A Miami Gardens man has been charged with sexual battery on a minor after some unusual text messages were found on his alleged victim's cell phone.
Miramar police said they began their investigation into 48-year old Darren Bryant after the teen's mother discovered the messages and called police.
During questioning, Bryant reportedly told detectives he met the teen online and admitted that he had been sexually involved with the minor.
Bryant was arrested and charged with sexual battery along with lewd/lascivious exhibition.
Bail was set at 13,500.
