Miami Gardens Man Arrested, Charged With 5 Counts Attempted Murder
MIAMI GARDENS (CBS4/Miami Herald) -- A South Florida man wanted for shooting at a group of people in December has been arrested.
Joshua Ezra Everett of Miami Gardens was grabbed by a U.S. Marshals task force Friday as he got out of a Tri-Rail train. Authorities believe he had been hiding in Palm Beach County.
The 23-year-old Everett was wanted on five counts of attempted first-degree murder and two counts of attempted second-degree murder.
Police say Everett got into an argument with four men before on Dec. 26. He walked into his mother's home, grabbed an assault rifle and fired at least 25 bullets.
Five people were wounded in the shooting.
Federal authorities say Everett was convicted of burglary and larceny charges in 2006.
