Miami Dolphins' Offensive Line Ranked 30th in NFL
Pro Football Focus ranked all 32 of the NFL's offensive lines and the results are unpleasant for the Miami Dolphins.
The unit assigned to protect Ryan Tannehill ranked 30th in the league -- the third worst in football. The breakdown is as follows, entering Week 9.
Pass blocking rank: 27th
Run blocking rank: 30th
Penalties rank: T-8th
The saddest part of this is the Dolphins feature three first-round picks up front in Branden Albert, Mike Pouncey, and Ja'Wuan James. Starting guards Dallas Thomas and Billy Turner -- both third-rounders -- just might be the worst starting guard duo in the NFL in pass blocking.
Making matters worse is the injuries suffered to this already thin group. Albert has already missed two weeks and now James is out for a few games with a toe injury.
Despite the chaos up front, Tannehill has yet to miss a game in his four-year career. Durability is an underrated but critical attribute, especially for someone playing the game's most important position.
