Miami Dolphins Reveal Tasty New Food Options At Sun Life Stadium

MIAMI GARDENS (CBSMiami) – From slow cooked barbecue made right on premises by Everglades BBQ, sensational sushi by Sushi Maki, fabulous finger food by renowned chef Michelle Bernstein and more, the Miami Dolphins are stepping it up this season in the game of fabulous food at Sun Life Stadium.

"It's not just chicken fingers and hotdogs anymore," Miami Dolphins President and CEO Tom Garfinkel said. "We wanted the best, real local, quality food to add to the fan experience."

Earlier this summer fans and season ticket holders were asked which food options they would like to see at Dolphins games and the response was overwhelming.  It's about variety, quality and value.

"From traditional Cuban sandwiches to Michelle Bernstein's fine food, we think we really have a great variety," said Ben Metzger, Manager of Concessions at Sun Life Stadium.

Tuesday's special media tasting was a first bite as to what's on the menu at all levels.

Dolphins' alumnus and CBS4's own Kim Bokamper brings his Bokampers MVP Club to the 300 level.

"We're classic bar food," said Bokamper. "We do burgers and sliders and tuna crudos. We do a little bit of everything."

Burger Fi has the best in burgers and veggie burgers.  Cuban Guys is serving up traditional Cuban sandwiches of all kinds.

The team also has partnered with renowned Chef Michelle Bernstein, who will bring to life an outpost of her Design District café, Crumb on Parchment. The café is located on the BankUnited Club Level at 213, offering an artisanal selection of homemade sandwiches, salads and side dishes.

Chef Bernstein has waited her whole life to get one of her dishes into a Dolphins game.

"Finally, I'm getting kale salad into a Dolphins game," smiled Bernstein. "I'm just happy to be here, little by little."

They will also offer a Taste of the NFL which features a rotating menu depending on what team the Dolphins are playing.  If they are playing the New England Patriots, it's a lobster roll.  If it's The Green Bay Packers, it's "pack and cheese"

The Dolphins continue to support local alumni, and are ecstatic about a partnership with Bob "Bru" Brudzinski to feature a Bru's Room Sports Grill at Section 154.

All in all, dozens of new food options for every game night, including Cold Stone's decadent ice cream desserts.

The Dolphins named Cold Stone Creamery the official ice cream of the team. Fans beating the South Florida heat have plenty of Cold Stone locations within Sun Life Stadium on game day to visit, including three locations on the 100 level (Gates C, E and G), two on the BankUnited Club Level (Gates C and G), two on the 400 level (Gates C and G) as well as in the tailgate area prior to the game.

If the new spread means anything, this Miami Dolphins football season should be its winningest ever!
