Miami Dolphins Donate Hundreds Of Thanksgiving Meals
MIAMI (CBSMiami) – Continuing a longstanding tradition, the Miami Dolphins organization donated hundreds of Thanksgiving meals to South Florida families in need Wednesday afternoon.
Dolphins players, coaches and members of the Miami Dolphins Women's Organization (MDWO) donated money to provide 750 Thanksgiving meals to families from Miami Dade and Broward Counties in conjunction with Feeding South Florida.
The team and its cheerleaders distributed Thanksgiving meals from Publix and drinks, courtesy of Pepsi, to preselected families at the team's training facility.
The Dolphins organization also hosted Thanksgiving Meal Giveaways at the stadium on Tuesday and at Miami-Dade County Hall on Wednesday afternoon. It is estimated that more than 900 meals and 380 individual turkeys were provided, with approximately 9,000 people benefitting from this year's Thanksgiving meals distribution.
