Miami-Dade Police Investigating Possible Marijuana Grow Operation
MIAMI (CBS4) - Miami-Dade Police worked into the late evening hours Wednesday investigating a possible marijuana laboratory hidden inside a plant nursery in Southwest Miami-Dade.
Miami Dade Police detectives began serving a search warrant around 10 pm.
A police spokesperson said one person is in custody and charges against the person are pending.
Chopper 4 took pictures of Miami Dade police descending on the remote, rural plant nursery on Wednesday evening. A K-9 officer is seen leading a police dog through the grounds.
Chopper 4 also captured video of officers walking through rows and rows of palm trees. Police said they were searching for evidence of an illegal drug operation.
The search took place at the business located near the intersection of SW 204 Street and SW 170 Avenue.
We expect more details on this story Thursday.
Miami-Dade Police say they plan to take video inside the operation to show what they've found. Police also said they plan to release an arrest report on the case on Thursday.
