N. Miami Beach Area Under Boil Water Advisory
MIAMI BEACH (CBS4)- The city of North Miami Beach issued a precautionary boil water notice Wednesday for the area within Northeast 165th Street to Northeast 171st Street.
Officials said the advisory was issued after a water main break and loss of water pressure occurred at NE 170th Street and 35th Avenue. The advisory also includes NE 35th Avenue in the Eastern Shores Community, according to officials.
Residents in the area are advised to boil all water used for drinking or cooking prior to usage. To properly remove contaminants, allow a rolling boil for one minute, officials said. As an alternative, bottled water may be used.
The precautionary boil water notice will remain in effect until the problem has been corrected and bacteriological testing shows that the water is safe to drink and a rescinding notice is distributed.
