Memorial To Be Held For Victim Of Miami Hit & Run

MIAMI (CBSMiami) -- The mother of a man who was struck and killed in a hit and run last weekend is holding a memorial service Saturday for her son.
Pedro Gonzalez, 33, was walking his dog when he was hit by a car near N.W. 12th Avenue and N.W. 2nd Street. He was rushed to nearby Ryder Trauma Center but did not survive.
The service will be held at 7205 S.W. 125th Avenue at 4 p.m.
Witnesses of the accident told police that the alleged driver, Bayron Villalobos, got out of his car to check on Gonzalez, who had been pinned underneath another car from the impact. Instead of calling for help, however, Villalobos got back in his car and drove off.
The victim's mother, Carmen Montoya, has been passing out flyers outside the Villalobos family home and where the suspect's car was found on N.W. 11th St. near N.W. 31st Ave, but so far, no one has said where Villalobos could be hiding out.
Montoya told CBS4 that police are aware that Villalobos has been in touch with his parents. They are looking for him.
