Media Picks Bridgewater To Lead Louisville To Conf. Title
MIAMI (CBSMiami) – Powered by former Northwestern High School quarterback Teddy Bridgewater, the Louisville Cardinals are the overwhelming pick to win the American Athletic Conference, formerly known as the Big East Conference, in 2013.
Louisville received 28 out of a possible 30 first-place votes from a panel of media members who cover the conference. Cincinnati received the other two first-place votes and was picked second followed by Rutgers who was picked third.
Louisville and Rutgers will be playing in their final season in the Big East/American Athletic Conference in 2013. Starting next season, Louisville will play in the Atlantic Coast Conference and Rutgers will head to the Big Ten Conference.
After Louisville, Cincinnati, and Rutgers, Central Florida was picked fourth followed by South Florida, Houston, Connecticut, SMU, Temple and bringing up the rear was Memphis who as picked 10th.
