McDonald's Robbers Cooked By Surveillance Video
DANIA BEACH (CBSMiami) – A group of men entered a Dania Beach McDonald's on August 31, but they weren't looking for fast food. Instead, they were looking for some fast cash.
The Broward Sheriff's Office said the group robbed the McDonald's at 1310 S. Federal Highway, but the entire robbery was caught on surveillance video.
The video shows three men, dressed in dark clothing with white bandannas covering their faces, rushing into the McDonalds. One of the men was shown pointing a gun at the customers and then aimed it at the cashier's head at the front of the restaurant.
The men then decided to take matters into their own hands, and jumped over the counter attempting to open the registers themselves.
Two of the men anxiously touched the register screens but couldn't manage to open it. The video then changes angle, showing the men running behind workers in the back of the kitchen.
One of the robbers went to get the manager from the Drive-Thru area of the restaurant. Later, the two ended up in the manager's office where the safe is held.
The manager is shown opening the safe for the men and the robbers put stacks of money into what appears to be a plastic grocery bag.
The robbers are seen making their way to the back of the business and leaving through the rear door.
