Matt Hasselbeck Could Be On Dolphins Radar
MIAMI (CBSMiami.com) – The Miami Dolphins have a need for a veteran quarterback to push starter Chad Henne and they may be turning to the Pacific Northwest to fill that void.
According to the Seattle Times, incumbent Seahawks quarterback Matt Hasselbeck has told the team he will not re-sign and instead become an unrestricted free agent.
The Dolphins have reportedly contacted Hasselbeck to gauge his interest and how much he might cost the team.
But Miami has stiff competition for Hasselbeck including: the Arizona Cardinals; San Francisco Giants; and Tennessee Titans.
Tennessee has been reportedly the most interested in acquiring Hasselbeck. The Titans currently have rookie Jake Locker as the team's starting quarterback. Hasselbeck could come in and play a year to give Locker time to develop, like Chad Pennington did in Miami.
