Masked Man Robs Mercantil Bank In SW Dade
SW MIAMI-DADE (CBS4) - A police perimeter failed to catch an armed man who robbed a bank in SW Miami-Dade Monday morning.
Police spokesman Detective Bobby Williams said the robbery occurred around 9:30 a.m. at the Mercantil Copmmercebank in the 13-thousand block of SW 131 Street.
The man, who was dressed in a blue jacket and khaki pants, wore a clear mask with a mustache and glasses on it over his face. After he flourished the gun and demande money, the teller handed over an undisclosed amount of cash and the man took off.
Witnesses told police the man, who was about 5'10" and 160 pounds, spoke some Spanish.
