Marlins To Donate 500 Thanksgiving Meals
MIAMI (CBS4) - The Florida Marlins will donate over 500 Thanksgiving meals to families in Little Havana Thursday.
Families, who were chosen by Big Brothers Big Sisters of Greater Miami and Abriendo Puertas, will receive a turkey, fixings and desserts for their Thanksgiving meal between 4 p.m. and 6 p.m. near the new Marlins ballpark at NW 7th Street and NW 14th Avenue in Little Havana.
With 500 days to opening day at the new ballpark, Alfredo Mesa, Executive Director of the Marlins' Community Foundation said the Marlins will continue their commitment to make an impact in the community and make a difference in the lives of their neighbors.
