Marlins Set Lineup For Canes Game
JUPITER, Fla. (CBSMiami) – One day, Aaron Rowand will be the answer to a trivia question about the new Marlins Park.
That's because Rowand is scheduled to be the first Miami Marlins player to ever take an official swing at the new home of the Marlins when the team faces the University of Miami in an exhibition game on March 6, according to the Palm Beach Post.
The Marlins will actually be playing two games that day, one against the Hurricanes at Marlins Park and the other against the Detroit Tigers in Jupiter, Florida, the Marlins' spring training home.
Manager Ozzie Guillen gave a tentative lineup for both games and in the game against the Hurricanes Miami will go with this lineup, according to the Post.
- Aaron Rowand
- Donnie Murphy
- Hanley Ramirez
- Logan Morrison
- Gaby Sanchez
- John Buck
- Austin Kearns
- Scott Cousins
- Nick Green
Other stars like Jose Reyes, Emilio Bonifacio, Mike Stanton and Omar Infante will be playing in the game in Jupiter.
Either Mark Buehrle or Ricky Nolasco will pitch against the Hurricanes and the other will pitch against FIU the following day. Also on March 7 against FIU, the lineup from Jupiter will come to Miami and vice-versa, according to the Post.
