Marlins' Giancarlo Stanton Featured On Cover Of Ocean Drive

MIAMI (CBSMiami) – Miami Marlins slugger Giancarlo Stanton has been in the news quite a bit over the past several months.
After signing a record $325 million contract with the Marlins, Stanton became one of the biggest names in the majors. Yes, he's been crushing baseballs in Miami for several years but being that the Marlins aren't a mainstream baseball team, not everyone was aware of just how good the 25-year-old really is.
With less than a week away from Opening Day at Marlins Park, its no surprise that Stanton is grabbing headlines once again.
This time however, it not about anything he did on a baseball field.
Stanton is being featured on the cover of Ocean Drive magazine to go along with a nice article and set of photos that will surely have the ladies of South Florida happy.

The article discusses more than just Stanton's baseball career. It goes into his personal life and feelings on a bevy of topics.
This isn't the first time that Stanton has utilized his modeling talents for a photo shoot.
He posed nude for ESPN The Magazine's annual 'body' issue back in 2013 and earlier this year he had his Marlins uniform painted on his body for a feature in Sports Illustrated.
While Stanton seems to enjoy his string of modeling gigs, his focus is surely on the upcoming baseball season as the Marlins are poised to make a run at a playoff spot.
