Manuel Dealing With Knee Injury Ahead Of Fins Visit
BUFFALO (CBSMiami) – The Miami Dolphins are two wins away from making the playoffs for the first time since 2008 and their next opponent, the Buffalo Bills, will feature a quarterback trying to recover from a knee injury.
Bills coach Doug Marrone said rookie quarterback E.J. Manuel suffered a sprained knee against the Jacksonville Jaguars last Sunday, but that he should be ready to play when the Dolphins come to town this weekend.
The Bills are just 1-2 in their last three games since a Week 12 bye. The Bills lost to the woeful Atlanta Falcons and Tampa Bay Buccaneers before beating Jacksonville last Sunday. Buffalo forced four Jacksonville turnovers in the 27-20 victory.
In addition to Manuel, defensive tackle Marcell Dareus is also listed as questionable for Sunday's game against Miami with an ankle injury. Marrone said he expects Dareus to take limited reps when the team gets back to the practice field.
Miami will once again face the elements in Buffalo. Temperatures are expected to be just above freezing in Buffalo on Sunday with rain and snow showers likely throughout the afternoon.
