Manning Met With Dolphins Coach In Indy
MIAMI (CBSMiami) – Let the speculation continue as to whether Peyton Manning will be wearing the orange and teal of a Miami Dolphins uniform next season.
That's because Dolphins coach Joe Philbin and other Miami staff members, including offensive coordinator Mike Sherman, met with Manning on Monday between five and six hours in Indianapolis, according to ESPN's Chris Mortensen.
Apparently, Dolphins owner Stephen Ross and general manager Jeff Ireland weren't along for the ride, because, as has been Manning's desire since he started the recruiting process, he's wanted to talk about football and not about potential contracts.
On Sunday, Manning spent nearly 6½ hours at the Arizona Cardinals' headquarters and training facility in meetings designed to lure the superstar to the desert. The session followed a meeting of nearly six hours Manning had at the Broncos' facility in Denver on Friday night. The two sessions were evidence that, for the time being at least, Arizona and Denver appear to be the top two contenders.
Mortensen also writes that Manning is scheduled to meet with the Titans on Tuesday or Wednesday.
