Man Who Ran Naked Through Water Plant To Undergo Tests

A psychological evaluation has been ordered for a man who reportedly ran naked through a Hollywood water plant earlier this month, flipping switches which caused electrical disruptions.

A federal magistrate ordered the testing for Earl Davis, 29, after it took six deputy U.S. Marshals to drag him into court on Monday and then he refused to answer any questions when asked about his rights, according to the Sun-Sentinel.

The incident happened on November 1st. Davis reportedly scaled a fence around the plant at 34th Avenue and Hollywood Boulevard, stripped off his clothes and took off across the grounds. Someone saw him and called police.

Davis managed to get into one of the plant's control rooms where he flipped three breakers and shut off power to the facility's north side. He then put on a biohazard suit he found in a cabinet and made his way to a room on the plant's west side, flipping more breakers along the way. He was then approached by a plant manager who asked him what he was doing. Davis reportedly replied that he was waiting for a friend.

When a police officer arrived, Davis allegedly told him his name was "Micheal Myers" and that his Social Security number was all sixes.

Davis was taken into custody and charged with burglary, criminal mischief and tampering with utilities. Those charges were dropped when the case was upgraded to the federal level.
