Man Killed In Deerfield Beach Shooting

FT LAUDERDALE (CBSMiami) - Broward sheriff's investigators are trying to figure out what led to a deadly shooting Wednesday night in Deerfield Beach.
Just after 10 p.m., sheriff's deputies were sent to check on reports of gunfire in the area of NE 44th Court and 3rd Terrace. When they arrived they found Joseph Medina-Herrera, who they say had been shot not too far from his home.
He was taken to Broward Health North where he died just before 11:30 p.m.
The sheriff's office said deputies were told that the person who shot Medina-Herrera sped off in a light colored car.
