Man Killed In Boynton Beach Police Chase
BOYNTON BEACH (CBSMiami/AP) – A high speed police chase on I-95 ended when the driver being pursued by Boynton Beach police lost control of his car and crashed into a wall.
Boynton Beach Police spotted a silver Volkswagen Beetle that may have been stolen. The officer tried to pull the car over Saturday, but the driver refused and sped off.
He lost control of the car, slammed into a side wall, and was ejected from the vehicle. He was pronounced dead on scene. The Florida Highway Patrol is investigating the crash.
Boynton Beach Police have placed the officer involved on administrative leave with pay pending a review of the incident.
