Man Injured In Lauderdale Hit & Run
FT. LAUDERDALE (CBSMiami) – Ft. Lauderdale police have little to go on after a man was struck by a driver who took off.
The accident happened Sunday, around 1:30 a.m. at the intersection of Poinsettia Street and Sea Breeze Boulevard. Melvin Gouthro was crossing the intersection when he was struck by a dark-colored, possibly black, car which sped off, according to police.
A witness followed the car but lost sight of it. They were not able to give the police a detail description of the vehicle which should have front end damage.
Gouthro was taken to an area hospital, no word on his condition.
