Man In Custody After Barricading Himself Inside Margate Home
MARGATE (CBSMiami) -- A man is in custody after he barricaded himself inside a Margate home Thursday morning.
According to Margate Police, Christopher Daughtery, 29 was inside the home and had reportedly made suicidal threats. He was known to be in possession of several hand guns.
After several repeated attempts to make contact with Daughtery inside the residence at 2925 Crestwood Terrace, Margate Police Department Special Response Team and Crisis Negotiation Team responded.
Crisis negotiators made contact with Daughtery,who a short time later, surrendered to officers on scene.
According to police, no one was injured and charges are not expected to be filed.
