MIAMI (CBSMiami) -- Police are investigating the shooting death of a man that witnesses said began with an argument over a parking space.
It happened Saturday just after 2:30 a.m. at N.W. 7th Street & 17th Place across from the El Secreto Bar & Grill just down the street from Marlins Park.
The victim, whose identity has not yet been released, was out with friends who said they suddenly heard him arguing with a driver in a pickup truck trying to park along N.W. 7th Street.
"As I'm coming in, I see them arguing. It was a dark pickup truck. I wanna say dark red. And he got shot. My other friend, he had a gun pointed to his head," said Martin, a close friend who's known the victim since they were in middle school. "It was a quarrel over a parking spot, apparently."
Another witness, who was also looking for parking, said the shooter was really aggressive.
"We see another guy honking at him and stuff. And next thing we know, the other guy gets out of the car and it didn't look good from then," said Miguel Mairena. "He was a very aggressive driver and due to road rage over a parking spot, it didn't end good."
The victim was shot in the chest and taken to Jackson Memorial Hospital where he later died.
Police are now looking for the shooter.
