Man Charged In Fatal Shooting Of Local Car Wash Owner
MIAMI GARDENS (CBSMiami) - Investigators have arrested and charged a man in the killing of a local car wash owner that happened in December of 2012.
Jamere Hanna, 19, was arrested Wednesday by investigators with the Miami Gardens Police Department and charged with first-degree murder, and two counts of armed robbery, for allegedly killing Errold Peart, 60, the owner of a car wash business located in the parking lot of the U-Gas gas station at 19101 N.W. 2 Avenue.
On December 2nd of last year, around 1:30 PM, Peart, while trying to help a customer who was being robbed at gunpoint, was shot and killed.
According to reports, there were two armed suspects, including Hanna, involved in the robbery and shooting.
Hanna has a criminal past which includes auto theft, possession of marijuana, burglary and more. He was transported to the Miami Dade County Pre-Trial Detention Center.
