Man Charged In Attack On Raccoon
FT. LAUDERDALE (CBSMiami) – A Coconut Creek man who reportedly beat a raccoon with a piece of wood and posted it online appeared bond court Thursday morning.
During the proceeding a judge set bond at $2,500 for Joseph Amico, 26, who is charged with one felony count of animal cruelty.
On the video, Amico reportedly hit the animal repeatedly with a two-by-four as it approached him apparently seeking food. The video was shot behind a furniture store on North State Road 7.
The raccoon was later found dead.
The video has since been taken down.
