DEERFIELD BEACH (CBSMiami) – The attempted kidnapping of four students at a Deerfield Beach elementary school has students, parents, and staff on alert.

Broward County Public Schools says a robocall message and letter was sent out to Park Ridge Elementary parents following the arrest of Milor Michel.

The Broward County Sheriffs Office says the 27-year-old trespassed onto school grounds shortly after 7 a.m. and grabbed "four separate juveniles by the arm and tried to drag them off campus."

According to the arrest report, "A teacher was notified by a student that there was a man touching children in the front of the school. The teacher went to the parking lot (inside school grounds) and observed the defendant holding a juvenile by his arm and pulling him toward the exit of the school parking lot."

The teacher says she began yelling at Michel and he let the student go and Michel took off from the school but he was caught.

The three boys and one girl told detectives Michel tried to grab them either by the wrist, arm or shirt. One of the victims said Michel was "Chasing kids and making scary faces."

In the letter sent home to parents, the school outlined some safety guidelines asking parents not to drop children off before 7:30 a.m., because "there is no student supervision prior to 7:30 a.m."

The letter also asks parents to "Discuss the importance of 'Stranger Danger' and 'See Something, Say Something" and to "ensure they understand not to talk to anyone they do not know and to seek help immediately if they are in any danger."

Michel is facing four charges of false imprisonment and one count of trespassing on school grounds.

BSO is asking anyone with information about this to give them a call.
