Man Apologizes After Repeatedly Cursing At Judge
FT. LAUDERDALE (CBSMiami/AP) — A South Florida man who cursed at a judge repeatedly has apologized for his actions.
Judge John "Jay" Hurley originally sentenced Christopher Colon, 27, to 364 days in jail, but suspended the sentence to time served Friday after the apology.
Colon was held in contempt of court after he cursed Hurley 20 times during the first hearing, including nine "F'' bombs and telling the judge to perform a sex act numerous times.
Colon said Friday, "Your honor, I apologize real bad, and I'm asking for you to accept my apology, please your honor."
Colon is still being held in the Broward Main Jail on charges of aggravated battery of a pregnant woman.
